H3AL POTS logo made with Manga Studio 5

Hi folks,

I was very busy the last couple of weeks. Daily live plus working on artwork for a game consumed a lot of my free time. Another project I did with Manga Studio 5 was to design and draw a logo for the geman League of Legends team, theĀ  H3AL POTS.

The had requested a health portion to be the main item of the logo. After some back and forth about the color choices we settled for this version:

Manga Studio 5 proved again that is the right tool for this kind of job.

Manga Studio 5 tutorial: How much memory does it use?

Hi folks,

I thought it is about time to create a small Manga Studio 5 tutorial for you guys. So here it is. Every wonder how much memory our beloved Manga Studio 5 uses? Today I discovered a nice information window that displays extacly that.

MS5_Memory_Usage

See below the layer panel. The percentage value for Application tells you how many ram it uses from your machine in percent. On my machine and with 4 GB Ram, it is about 490 MB. Not to bad I think. It could be worth to have a look at this when your machine starts lagging.

If that window does not show up on your configuration you can activate via

Window/Memory Usage

Very handy I think and another small example on how awesome Manga Studio 5 is.

Game art done in Manga Studio 5: Ranatan

The latest project I have finished is working on most of the characters (besides the frog) and their animation for the game Ranatan. The developer needed to have SVG files but I developed the characters and their coloring first in Manga Studio 5. It is the perfect tool to get sketches done fast and imho also to finish the whole project too.

Here are some small sketches:

Here are some final images, which were created in Inkscape:

I can recommend Manga Studio 5 highly for production work regarding game development. Some people arguement that you need vector files when you scale your images for other resolutions but compared to Inkscape, I find the exported image of superior quality when done from Manga Studio 5.

As I am familiar created raster and vector art, just contact me about your project and I will give you an honest quote.
